Drops of Inspiration - Do you look more like Superman or Wolverine?

Hello, my dear friends, good morning! A very good morning! Starting, with much affection, another Drop of Inspiration. As always, much light and peace for your heart. Much harmony! I wish you all, with all affection, a very special weekend!

Today I'd like to talk about a "sui generis" theme, that's a little different. But, until the end, you'll understand why I've asked you that question. What's your favorite superhero: Superman or Wolverine?

What does it have to do with spiritual growth? What does it have to do with our lives? Well, for those who are not aware of the comic story, maybe, are not even losing much, the Superman is the symbol of the steel man that has no defects, no weaknesses, except at, sometimes, when kryptonite appears and knocks him to his knees. But, morally, he's perfect.

At least, this is how he's introduced: Clark Kent, with noble values, is almost the inspiration of a perfect man idealized by those who created Superman.

On the other hand, we have the most popular superhero, we may say, from the last years, along with Iron Man, as we: we're talking about Wolverine, who interests us, more, here. Who is Wolverine? He's someone who has defects and moral problems, a guy tormented with his conscience, and who has the tendency to do what is wrong but, after all, in the end, he ends up making the right choices and what must be done. In other words, he's much closer to reality. What do I mean?

Many of us wish to be Superman, but the most they can be is Wolverine.

Comic books metaphors and superhero movies aside, this means that people who idealize themselves are at serious risk of falling into the very illusion that they generate about themselves. If you create a mistaken idea about yourselves, not allowing yourselves to make mistakes, to overcome the old ones if you're people who blame yourselves for some past mistake as an abortion committed, a divorce that you swear it was your fault, a misconception committed, in the financial area, or a problem that you have caused, you live in the past.

You've become a museum!

That's it because the museum lives from the past. Not us, human beings. Although we suffer from the consequences of our past acts, we live at the present moment. We're much closer, metaphorically speaking, Wolverine superhero. Why?

Because he must deal with his dramas, difficulties, and be able to keep going forward. Symbolically, I mean that those who grow in the Gospel and the good way aren't perfect people, but people who must be open-minded so that they can deal with their own fears and ghosts. They are people who will learn how to accept the guilt they feel. They're people who will learn how to recognize the moral defects that still hold, but won't be paralyzed because of them.

They're people who will seek help, when necessary, either from the Gospel or a therapist, maybe, from a course, a book reading, a friend, or a more experienced relative, no matter who the help comes from. They will seek a spiritual retreat, be open up to life and will learn how to continue their evolutionary march, despite their failures, weaknesses, and everything. And that's where the real superhero lives inside all of us. When we meet wonderful ladies, who love their children, we see that many of them are nervous, neurasthenic and, sometimes, make mistakes in the way of educating, but they're struggling so that they can love. They're those who, really, could take care of five or six children, sometimes with their husband's absence, with a difficult financial situation, but haven't lost their focus.

They're the real superheroes, people who are spiritualizing themselves.

I'm just taking an example. They're the gentlemen who work in two or three different jobs, and, sometimes, go through humiliations at work, but aren't taken by the spurious desire to commit crimes that, at first, it would be easier, in order to earn money.

However, they still grow, showing the example of dignity to their children, examples of manhood and how to move forward. They do what they can although, sometimes, they have several faults as we all do. The real superheroes are those who recognize that they're under construction but don't give up perfecting and improving, every day, not stopping at time.

Today's Drop of Inspiration wants to invite you to welcome and embrace your shortcomings and move on, but not in the sense of being accommodated.

Restart, reinvent yourselves, reshape lifestyle, as often as necessary, but keep going. Life is going by, very quickly. Soon, we return to the spiritual world. Whoever knows how to persevere in their inner growth and in their seeking for self-improvement, for sure, will attract good spirits, and cultivate great energies, around themselves, and it will make all the difference.

Remember: we all are superheroes under construction allowing us to release our sacred self and our divine self-manifestation. It's not easy, but for sure, it's the way we have left, lucidly, so that we can really make our existence worth, here, on Earth.

May you stay with God! Light and peace!

And you already know: see you soon, see you very, very soon!
